Watch out for these events!!

Hi

We hope the semester is going well for everybody and the new students have settled in USC.

We were just wondering what you're plans are on Valentines Day? We are sure you have got lots! Our concern is ones that won't get materialized that day. Well, don't be disappointed! We are bringing you a valentine's day bash on 26 February. The details are follows:

Event: Valentine Day Bash
Sponsors: GPSS, STA Travels
Date: 26th February
Venue: Ground Zero
Time: 7:00 PM - 12:00 AM

Attractions: Dance Food Singles ;-)!!!

And watch out for Spring Cultural Show in March.

After Fall 2006's "Diwali Dhoom" success, back with popular demand is a Spring rerun, only bigger and better! Lets try to change the supposedly "uneventful", semester, into something to look forward to next year. For this, not only do we need your presence, but your talent too. In the coming weeks, preparations are scheduled to begin, so team up, gather around and come up with funky ideas for performances, but don't be shy to perform solo too...! Check out for the web 'performance registration' form, on our website in a few days from now.

Vidushak has a very special improv show on Friday (TODAY!!!) evening, 2nd February, 2007 at 5:30 pm between Leavey Library and VKC, in the VKC courtyard. This is a farewell show for Maunic Dharia, who's going away on an internship. Please be there to wish him goodbye and good luck!

The USC Interfaith Council is hosting a conference called "Coming Together" for students across the country involved or interested interfaith leadership, and we need help from people in religious groups on campus. The conference is February Thurs 15- Sun 18, 2007
We need to host about 80 arriving students, as close to the university as possible (we're trying to stick to about 28th St. and closer).

The role of the host is very minimal, we basically just need people that are willing to offer a place to sleep (even if that is a couch or floor
space) and a place to shower. Participants are told to bring blankets, sleeping bags, shampoo, stuff like that. Also, they are told to only
expect to get in and out of the place they're staying at night and in the morning when they leave, so the hosts don't need to worry that someone might be calling them all day, expecting to get into their place.

>From potential hosts we need their name, address and room or apartment number, faith tradition, email and phone number. If they have any requests about who stays with them, we can accommodate (for example, if they would be more comfortable hosting some one from their own tradition we can try to do that).

If you have any questions, email me at renaud@usc.edu.
