Magic of Raj Kapoor - A unique documentary film @ USC

Come see the power of truth and selfless love, the magic of music and art. I guarantee that you will leave with something to sing, something to think and something to ponder about. This show has been created with a lot of passion and great effort. This documentary also provides a great perspective on wealth of Indian cultural values, incorporating love, non-violence and compassion in our lives… not only that… there is something to think about for everyone that can positively influence our day to day life... yet it is full of entertainment.

Let me warn you at the beginning, its not your typical Bollywood movie; it's a different movie that has been made. It's a unique documentary cum entertaining movie which showcases the rich Indian culture and philosophy of compassion and brotherhood, peace and love, sharing and caring, the message from Mahabharata and essence of Ramayana. All this is artfully knit together and presented through the work of master artist, the showman of the millennium, Shri Raj Kapoor.

Asha for Education USC- Movie night
Venue: Leavey Library Auditorium
Date: Saturday, November 15, 2008 - 6 pm.

Asha USC is excited to screen the movie 'Rock On' on Saturday, November 15th at the Leavey Library Auditorium starting 6pm. The event is free for all!

"A film about a bunch of friends who can do nothing but make music. Guys who come together, create 'Magik' only to be driven apart by their clashing ideologies, until time and tide brings them together for that one last time. The last hurrah! That in a nutshell, is what Abhishek Kapoor and Farhan Akhtar's Rock On is all about. Reminds you of Dil Chahta Hai or Jhankar Beats or for that matter any rocker film? My request to you would be, forget the comparison, sit back and let the music and the madness take over. Trust me, Rock On is a ride you will not regret taking." -  Review taken from mtvindia.com
