Hey All,

Firstly, we are happy to welcome all the new Indian students coming here in USC. We also welcome all the continuing students. We at AIS have been working on bringing in a whole set of new events this semester. We are kick starting this semester's events with a movie night and Republic Day flag hoisting.

We are also having a career session where a few of our alumini would give you tips on resume building, job search etc. We felt that this session will be quite useful for all of you just before the career fair.

Event: Movie Night

Movie: Rang De Basanti

Date: 25^th Jan, 2009

Time: 4 pm – 7 pm

Venue: Leavy Auditorium – Basement

Note: We have limited seats in the auditorium. We will be filling up the seats on a first come first serve basis. No food or drinks are allowed into the auditorium and please maintain silence.

Event: Republic Day Flag Hoisting Ceremony

Date: 26^th Jan, 2009

Time: 8:15 am

Venue: EF Hutton Park (between THH and Bovard Auditorium)

Note: The flag will be hoisted by Mr. Nadadhur Kumar who is an attorney by profession. He used to work in USC, in the Office of International Students for over 20 years. He is the advisor of many organizations.  Many government agencies also consult him for formulating immigration policies. We are happy to have such a person hoist our National Flag.

Event: HSO Weekly Aarti & Discussion

Date: 28^th Jan, 2009
